PS Group B Examination postponed

It is informed that PS Group "B " examination scheduled to be held on 15.05.2011 has been postponed to 29.05.2011 vide Postal Directorate Lr. No. A-34012/02/2010-DE dated 27.04.2011

Transfer/Posting/Allotment in ASP cadre

Vide order No. ST/3-2/10 dated 27.4.11, Chief PMG, Kerala has ordered the following:

2. Smt. Shobha Thomas,ASP,TVM(N) Sub Dn transferred and posted as ASP TVM (Central) Su Dn. under Trivandrum North Division.

3. Sri. K.Gangadharan Nair, ASP,TVM(Central) Sub Dn transferred and posted as ASP TVM RMS (RMS TV Dn).

4. Sri. M.K.Karthikeyan Nair, ASP, TVM RMS posted as SAS, Circle Office, TVM.

5. Sri. G.Suresh Kumar, ASP, Kollam (S) Sub Dn posted (on request) as ASP(CS), Circle Office, TVM.

6. Sri. Riyaz Paranthiratt, Offtg ASP Kalpetta Sub Dn is alloted to Southern Region (on request) and posted as Offtg ASP, TVM(North) Sub Dn.

7. Sri. K.Manoj Kumar, IP, Ranny is promoted on adhoc basis to the cadre of ASPOs and posted as Offtg ASP, Kollam South Sub Dn.

All the members who are appearing for the PS Group B Examination, scheduled to be held on 15.5.2011, are requested to forward their applications duly verified and recommended by the competent authority, to Circle Office at the earliest, preferably today itself, for further action at C.O.

Postings in PS Group B

Vide order No. ST/1/1/5/2010 dated 11.4.11, the following orders of promotion and appointment have been issued by Chief PMG, Kerala Circle.

1. Sri. L.Mohananan Achary, officiating SP, PSD Trivandrum promoted to PS Group B cadre and posted as Superintendent, PSD, Trivandrum.

2. Sri.P.Suseelan, SAS, C.O TVM promoted to PS Group B and posted as Asst. Director (FS), C.O, TVM.

Orders with respect to the third officer (Smt. T.V.Sundari) alloted to the Circle consequent on qualifying in the Group B Examination will be issued shortly. As a result of the allotment of the above three officials to Kerala Circle, the adhoc promotion in respect of Sri. V.Balakrishnan Nair, ASP(OD),TVM(S) as Deputy SP, TVM(N) Division stands cancelled vide order No. ST/1/1/5/10 dated 11.4.11.

Items for four monthly meeting with Chief PMG

The following items have been submitted for the four monthly meeting with Chief PMG to be held shortly.

1. Creation of Sultan Bathery Sub Division

At present the Kunnamangalam and Kalpetta Sub Divisions of Calicut Division are having more number of offices and it is very difficult to manage these Sub Divisions considering its vast geographical area. A new Sub Division (IP) -Sulthan Bathery may be created by carving out offices from Kalpetta and Kunnamangalam Sub Division.


2. Adhoc promotion of IPs to ASP cadre

Many of the ASP posts are lying vacant and they are not being filled up on the plea that 8 posts in the Circle will go to the Postmaster cadre. There is no concrete direction from any quarters to identify IPO line posts for creating the said cadre. This being the position, adhoc promotions to all the vacant ASP Posts may be done immediately pending a final decision on the subject.


3. Reimbursement of Mobile charges.

IP/ASPs in most of the other Circles like Tamilnadu, Andra, Karnataka are being given reimbursement of their mobile charges. In our Circle also, IP/ASPs of Northern Region are being given this benefit. In the light of the good show put in by all the IP/ASPs in achieving PLI/RPLI target, the said benefit may be extended to the Circle as a whole.

Due to the restriction on the number of items (3 only) some other issues like change in the pattern of alloting RPLI/PLI targets, damaging media reports about text book supply scheme etc which could not be raised in this meeting, will be taken up subsequently. An informal discussion about the rotational transfers of IPs/ASPs was held with Chief PMG which ended on a very positive note. The matter is being examined in Staff section and orders are expected shortly.

Following vacancies have been declared by the Postal Directorate for PS Gr. B Examination scheduled to be held on 15.05.2011.

Eligibility criteria revised i.e. 5 years service is required as on 01.01.2010 for IP line and also for General line in the LSG and above officials.

Entire Examination is outsourced. Application format having magnetic layers etc. is devised and will be supplied by the vendor on or before 11.04.2011 to Department. Application is to be filled up in the said form only.

Holiday on 13-04-2011

CO has declared 13.04.2011 as Holiday for all offices of Department of Posts,in Kerala Circle including MAHE and excluding LAKSHADWEEP on account of Assembly Polls

Circle Allotment of PS Gr.B officers

Directorate vide letter No. 9-55/2008-SPB dated 05.04.2011 has ordered the circle allotment of PSS Gr.B Officers. The following officers are allotted to Kerala Circle.

1. T.V. Sundari from TN to Kerala
2. P. Suseelan - Kerala
3. L. Mohanan Achary - Kerala

RPLI- RFD TARGET ACHIEVED

Kerala Circle has achieved the target of 1 lakh policies alloted to the Circle in RPLI. The current figure (tentative) stands at 1,03,155 policies. The Association congratulats all our members for the earnest efforts taken by them in achieving this target. Keep up the good work!
