Modified ACP scheme orders issued by the Government !!!

As assured by the Government, for implementing modified ACP scheme after elections, the order for modified ACP Scheme in line with Sixth Pay Commission Recommendations has finally been issued by Government.

Features of MACPS (Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme) :

(1) There shall be three financial upgradations under MACPS counted from the direct entry grade on completion of 10, 20 and 30 years.

(2) Financial upgradation under the scheme will be admissible whenever a person has spent 10 years continuously in the same grade pay.

(3) The grade pay at the time of financial upgradation under MACPS can in certain cases where regular promotion is not between two successive grades, be different than what is available at the time of regular promotion. In such cases the higher grade pay attached to next promotion post in the hierarchy of the concerned cadre/organization will be given only at the time of regular promotion.

(4) The financial upgradation under the MACPS would be admissible up to the highest grade pay of 12,000 in PB-4.

(5) The pay shall be raised by 3% of the total pay in the pay band and the grade pay drawn before such upgradation. There shall be no further fixation at the time of regular promotion if it is the same grade pay as granted under MACPS. It is the second supplementary list issued after the last promotion orders dated 26.12.08 and 19.1.09. Seniority of the above mentioned officers will be fixed immediately below the last officer promoted vide above said order dated 19.1.09. 2. Re-Verification of Membership: Membership verification is going on in all Circles. Members are requested to fill up the Letter of authroisation and hand over the same to Circle Secretary for onward transmission to DDO concerned. Last date for submission of Letter of Authorisation is – 15 May 2009. 3. Re-Organsation of Sub Divisions: Views of Circle Secretaries were called for. Very Circle Secretaries have responded. If we keep mum, perhaps it may against the interest of our cadre. Circle Secretaries are requested to act fast. 4. Promotion to JTS Grade: DPC for promotion to Group A (JTS) grade is pending for the past one and a half years for want of CR for some officers. Matter has been taken up with DG & Member (P).
