Four Monthly meeting was held with Chief PMG at CO today. PMG(NR) was also present along with DPS(HQ). The Association was represented by Sri. Ajith Kurian and Sri. T.M.Krishnaswamy. Items put forth by us and the department’s response is furnished below:
Creation of Sultan Bathery Sub Division – The proposal was taken up with Directorate. It has been ascertained that Directorate is not entertaining proposals for creation of new Sub Divisions/Divisions for the time being. No official communication has been received from Directorate so far.
Adhoc Promotion to IPs and ASP cadre – The eligible IPs will be given adhoc promotions immediately.
Reimbursement of Mobile charges- A general order cannot be issued without the approval of Directorate. However, Region Heads can take a decision and issue orders in the same way as has been done by PMG (NR).
Regarding the issue of non supply of data cards for laptops in NR, PMG (NR) was of the opinion that it will not serve any purpose as connectivity is not available in most of the areas. However, Chief PMG made it clear that the supply is being made as per allotments of funds by Directorate and data cards can be supplied provided they are put to the best use. Regarding reimbursement of internet charges incurred by the use of data cards, Chief PMG made it clear that we are entitled for reimbursement and necessary instructions will be given to the Divisional Heads.
