It has been brought to the notice of the Association that orders have been issued in CR withdrawing Mail Overseers from Sub Divisions and they are being used for delivery purposes. As per information available one MO each has been withdrawn from Cherthala, Kayamakulam, Thrissur and Chanaganassery Sub Divisions and both MOs have been withdrawn from Tripunithura, Kochi and Ernakulam Sub Divisions. It is also ascertained that PMG has taken a stand that a mail overseer is justified only if there are at least 20 BOs in a sub division.
Such an unilateral move causing much difficulty to the Sub Divisional Heads cannot be accepted. Association strongly condemns the said move and urges the PMG to withdraw the said order. PMG(CR) has been addressed in the matter requesting to withdraw the said orders and to maintain status quo. Chief PMG and our General Secretary has also been requested to intervene in the matter.
