Hearty
fraternal greetings to all my dear members...
I
speak to you all today humbled by the task before me, grateful and honoured for
the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the great work put in by my
predecessors. I had sincerely hoped that
one among you would voluntarily come forward to accept this task. However,
since all of you insisted on entrusting this mantle to me, I am accepting the
post of CS with all humility.
As
all of you would agree, Our Association has always worked for the welfare of
our members within our limitations. Although we do not have the numerical
strength of other service unions or the support of trade unions, we have
overcome these limitations by our unity and good rapport with the administration.
I admit that not all grievances have been resolved which cannot be expected
from an Association like ours. However every effort will be made to settle the
issues that come before the Association amicably. The issue of imparting proper
training on all newly inducted technological modules/packages and the issue of
penalizing our members on the ground of contributory negligence have already
been brought to the notice of the Administration by way of our resolutions
passed during our Conference at Kumarakom. All other issues discussed during
the conference will also be brought to the notice of the Circle Administration
shortly.
While
pressing for our demands I feel that we must also have the humility to admit
that we too have much to learn. Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of
the world around us is the need of the hour as otherwise we would be left
behind in the technological revolution sweeping around us. I sincerely hope that the Administration
would also realize this and take constructive steps so as to enhance our knowledge
and technical knowhow to equip ourselves for contributing in a fair way towards
the betterment of the department. I am fully confident that Circle/Regional
Administration would be kind enough to consider our requests favourably.
As I
say often, your support is my Inspiration and tonic to move forward. Please
make it a point to attend CWCs, Group Meetings, and General Bodies whenever
called for as these are the venues where healthy discussions can take place and
where you can make yourselves heard. Even if some of your grievances are not resolved
please do not stay aloof and keep the grudge burning. Open hearted discussions
can do wonders as we saw at Kumarakom. I would also like to stress the
importance of contributions. Being a member of an Association bestows upon us
the responsibility to support it financially also. I would request all of you to respond
positively whenever call is given for contributions for GB or during receipt of
arrears etc. CWC members can play an
effective role in this. Our blog, apart from postings in our Whatsapp group,
will be updated regularly from now on and as such, I request all members to
follow this too.
We
shall move forward as a team with the ultimate goal of welfare and happiness of
all our members and also of our Department for which I solicit the support and
cooperation of one and all. Our challenges may be new and the ways in which we
may meet them may also be new. But those values which our cadre has always
stood for-hardwork & honesty, courage & fairplay, tolerance &
loyalty will forever be with us. Thank you and God bless you all.

INSPECTORS/ ASST. SUPERINTENDENTS POSTS ZINDABAD, ZINDABAD, ZINDABAD.
